View from the Vltava river

By the vows monk expresses with free sacrifice in the more perfect way the dedication, that he has accepted in the baptismal and confirmational sacrament. The monk makes three vows according to the Rule of St. Benedict:

In the vows of stability (lat. stabilitas), monk bounds himself for whole life to his monastery and its community. That requires from the monk to love own monastery, to commit his energy and abilities completely and persistently in the service to the community and its duties.  In this way monk aids to establish the atmosphere, that brings a fulcrum and safety to everybody.
